Our Commitment to Anti-Racism

Dear Colleagues,

George Floyd. Tony McDade. Breonna Taylor. Ahmaud Arbery. Their lives, and far too many others, weigh heavily on our minds.

Like many of you, we are appalled and hurting from the senseless murders and violence, deeply saddened by the unrest playing out in our streets, and frustrated that our country is still steeped in systemic racism.

At Enspira, we stand together for belonging, acceptance, dignity, differences and humanity. Injustices against Black Americans have gone on for generations. Yet now, we must all have a renewed sense of importance to state that “black lives matter.” Black Lives Matter. George Floyd’s plea to breathe was a wake-up call to all of us. We must do more. We must all do more.

So what now? What can I do to help? And what can Enspira do to drive the change that is so desperately needed?

Today, as part of our anti-racism commitment, Enspira is donating money to support Black Lives Matter. We are also putting another stake in the ground and rededicating ourselves to being an anti-racist company, where diversity and inclusion, and most importantly, belonging is necessary, respected, nurtured and celebrated. Hate and discrimination have no place in our company. Therefore, we will only work with organizations that support and foster anti-racist actions.

Additionally, we are actively doubling down on our diversity, inclusion and belonging efforts. We will make available to all of our clients more tools and resources that can help identify and prevent biased practices and foster an environment of dignity, acceptance and respect.

My team and I will continue to educate ourselves on racial inequities and confront our self-serving beliefs, and we encourage you to do the same. We’re sharing several educational resources that might be helpful to you. These anti-racism resources are not exhaustive. But, you’ll find a list of organizations supporting racial justice, books on the topic, petitions to drive change and other articles and publications of interest.

It is truly a painful time. Change only comes through conscious effort and starts from within. We all have to do better and be part of the solution. Please join us in committing to eradicating racism by taking the necessary actions to foster diversity, inclusion and belonging throughout the world. It is only by working together that positive change will become a reality.

Thank you,

Kurt (Serrano) Landon
